Home-The Moorland Feeding Station

Established in 2010, the Moorland Feeding Station is situated high in the north Gwent valleys 1039 feet above sea level.

It has has a species list of 78 and is on the flight path of many migratory birds.

We have been lucky enough to be visited by both a Great Grey Shrike and Hooded Crow in the past, whilst the Red Kites come in to visit daily, amongst the mammals that have visited are Bank Vole, Wood Mouse, Rat and Weasel.

It's fair to say you never know what you are going to get and that includes the weather, it changes from minute to minute, a foggy start can soon turn to beautiful sunshine and then to snow, all adding to the days experience and some atmospheric images.
